Crossroads Emmaus Community Gathering Schedule
The Walk to Emmaus cannot create a complete Christian foundation in only three days. The “Walk” is only the beginning of the journey. Fourth Day Gatherings play a significant role in continuing the “Fourth Day Experience”.
If you are coordinating a gathering at your church, please be sure to check out the Host Church Responsibilities.
2023 Gatherings
All Gatherings begin at 6:30 PM on Thursday evenings unless otherwise noted.

Crossroads Emmaus Community is eager to include area churches to host gatherings. This gives our community members an opportunity to visit and experience other churches throughout the area.
In order to host a gathering, you church will be asked to provide:
- A meeting place for 75 to 100 people.
- Paper goods and plastic ware for the meal (plates, cups, napkins, knives, forks and spoons).
- Drinks (tea, coffee, and water).
- 2 child care attendants which have a current state required background check on file with your church. Crossroads Emmaus will contribute $60 to the host church for child care. If your church cannot provide child care workers, please let the Community Assistant Lay Director know as early as possible so we can advise the community there will be no child care at the gathering.
- Worship area.
- Communion elements (bread and juice).
- We would love to involve your clergy in the worship service. If your clergy has not been on a Walk to Emmaus weekend, our clergy is available to assist with the worship service.
- If your church has a music team, we would love to utilize them for the gathering. Please let us know at the time of scheduling if your music team will provide music for the gathering.
- A person from your church or community to deliver the fourth day talk. Fourth day talks should be between 5 and 15 minutes in length and address the following questions:
(1) What has the Walk to Emmaus meant to me?
(2) What have you done about it?
If your church is not able to provide any of the above, please let the Community Assistant Lay Director know at the time of scheduling.
